Description
As said in Condition Description, A blast from my past: This is a souvenir (my own souvenir) from Freedomland. The site was called The Office of New York's First Bank, sponsored by The Bank of New York. If you never heard of Freedomland, look it up, I took this from Wikipedia's site which gives much history of the once was Freedomland. "The park, conceived and built by C. V. Wood, consisted of over 40 attractions arranged in the shape of a large map of the contiguous United States. Groundbreaking ceremonies for Freedomland occurred in late 1959, and Freedomland opened to large crowds on June 19, 1960."... (From Wikipedia). This envelope contains a WELCOME PAMPHLET TO THE OFFICE of New York's First Bank, a FACSIMILE of U.S. TREASURY WARRANT No. 1, and an explanation of THE FIRST MONEY ever borrowed by THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT which came from The Bank of New York in the sum of $200,000. See photos of envelope's contents. Because of down-sizing I am physically giving up much of what I accumulated over my many years. This souvenir of days past will be sold, but the memory of visiting with my entire family goes on. See photos of envelope's contents. All materials are in excellent condition only opened for these photographs!
