Rosie and the Originals were fronted by lead singer Rosie Hamlin, and had a moderate success in the 1960's after the song "Angel Baby" peaked at #5 on the Billboard charts in early 1961. In a 1969 interview with Life magazine, John Lennon named Hamlin as one of his favorite singers.
